Overview

VideoThing (https://tiktok.jaisal.dev) is operated by Jaisal for personal use. It connects to TikTok through TikTok's official Login Kit and Content Posting API to publish videos to the operator's own TikTok account (@udarealjess).

Information we collect

• TikTok OAuth tokens — access and refresh tokens returned after you authorize the app. Stored securely on the operator's private server, not sold or shared.
• Basic profile information — via the user.info.basic scope (e.g. open ID) to identify the connected account.
• Video files and captions — uploaded from the operator's device to TikTok for posting. We do not host a public user directory or collect data from other TikTok users.

How we use information

• Authenticate with TikTok and refresh API tokens.
• Publish videos the operator creates to their own TikTok account.
• Maintain a local posting queue and error logs for troubleshooting.

Third parties

Video publishing is performed through TikTok's API. TikTok's own privacy policy applies to content hosted on TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/legal/privacy-policy.

Data retention

OAuth tokens are kept until revoked in TikTok account settings or deleted by the operator. Local queue and log files may be deleted at any time.

Security

API credentials and tokens are stored in environment files and server-side storage with restricted file permissions. HTTPS is used for all OAuth callbacks.

Your choices

You can revoke VideoThing's access at any time in TikTok → Settings → Security → Manage app permissions.

Children

VideoThing is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children.
